In October of 2017 the wizarding festival returned to Ontario’s West Coast for another weekend of magical wizarding fun.
Quidditch Canada and 6 teams from across Ontario and Quebec competed in a tournament for Perdue’s Cup. The tournament was cut short due to severe weather but after reviewing game data Quidditch Canada determined that Valhalla Quidditch was the winner. There were also interactive demonstrations that allowed attendees to experience how it’s played. The little ones also had their own chance to try ‘Kidditch’!
Three amazing WRock bands that love Harry Potter as much as you do played for the entertainment of Fans! The Lovegoods, Tonks and the Aurors, & Draco and the Malfoy’s! Girl Pow-r opened up for our fan favourite bands with performance dance and singing!
Many thanks to Theatricks who brought magic and skits that transported fans into a world of wizardry!
Various professor’s taught attendees Defence Against the Dark Arts, Potions, and Divination. Will you be picked to have your fortune told? Or to craft a love potion? Attendees could take their pictures with the many actors or just take advantage of our Selfie Park.
The Activity Stations had people learning their swishes and flicks. Decorating their own wands, colouring bookmarks, getting their face painted, and more!
The Fantastic Clues and Where to Find Them and Tom’s Riddles Scavenger Hunts tested fans Harry Potter knowledge and brought them through The Village town to seek out treasures.
From magical treats and brews, a real Ice Bar, Wizarding Games, VR Broom Flying, Over 100 Vendors and performances the festival was truly magical.
We were all terribly disappointed when Sunday was cancelled due to the danger caused by the extreme high winds. All ticket holders from the festival will be offered a discount for the Festival of Wizardry in 2018.
See you next year!
